I usually write the projects I direct myself. This allows me to explore directing possibilities from the very beginning, which in turn feeds back into the development of the script.

Before this stage, I carry out extensive research to gain an in-depth understanding of the subject I am working on.

 

I then create the storyboard to communicate my intentions to the various department heads and anticipate any technical constraints. My technical background allows me to make precise requests regarding image, sound and camera equipment at this stage.

At the same time, I design or select the sets, costumes and props required for the project.

 

All scenes are rehearsed beforehand to ensure that we can achieve the desired result efficiently on the day of the shoot.

Finally, on set, I make sure that the working conditions are as favourable as possible so that everyone can fully engage with the project.
